Toiletries and Cosmetics

Of course wherever we are in the world, we are going to need our toiletries and cosmetics. But with carry-on only we are quite limited in what we can take, as we are not permitted to take over 100mls of any one product!

So what do we carry?

Cam and I each carry a clear plastic pack with our various medications and cosmetics. Personally, I don’t wear a lot of makeup, so I just have the bare basics, along with small travel size tubes of anything like moisturiser etc.

When we arrive at a new destination we make a point of buying other toiletries, like shampoo, conditioner and body wash. In most places these are pretty cheap so we leave anything we don’t need behind. If we are not flying between destinations we wrap it in plastic bags and take it with us!

We have a 3rd plastic pack that contains our toothbrush and toothpaste. We have 1 electric toothbrush between us, with 4 heads (and a spare).

Our 4th pack is a mini first aid kit – bandaids, panadol, the basics we need just in case.

All of these get put into Sienna’s bag, which can be easily opened when going through security at an airport.
